Via 313, the Detroit-style pizza concept backed by Savory Fund, has been named the top gluten-free pizzeria in the U.S. in USA Today’s 10 Best 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. The brand, based in Austin, Texas, champions inclusive dining with dedicated gluten-free crusts, dairy-free cheese and vegan options available across its 25 units and two permanently placed trailers.
The USA Today award follows nominations curated by a panel of food and travel experts and editors, with final placement determined by public voting. Via 313’s gluten-free offering—8”-by-10” Detroit-style pies with more than a dozen topping combinations—is a popular menu feature across its locations, available for dine-in, takeout or catering.
“Kudos to the teams in the kitchen and front of house who have raised the standards for what gluten-free pizza can be,” says Kiplan Welsch, president of Via 313. “Making a gluten-free crust that holds up to our toppings and stays true to the Detroit style takes attention to detail—this nod from USA Today reflects that work and the heartwarming support from our guests.”

The award adds to a growing roster of national recognition for the brand, which has been ranked No. 2,050 on the 2025 Inc. 5000, in addition to past highlights from Food & Wine and the Food Network. Via 313, featured on the PMQ Pizza cover in September 2021 and Peel: A PMQ Pizza Podcast in 2024, was founded by Detroit natives Brandon and Zane Hunt, who launched the concept from a trailer in Austin in 2011. The menu includes classic Detroit-style pies, seasonal specialties, and shareable appetizers and desserts.
To celebrate its win, Via 313 offered a one-day “Buy One, Get One Half Off” deal on all gluten-free pizzas across all locations on September 24. In addition, the pizzeria will showcase its award-winning gluten-free pies at the My Gluten Free World Expo in Sandy, Utah, on September 26 to 27, giving attendees a chance to experience firsthand the pizza that earned top national honors.
